Happy Monday and First Day of Summer… it’s such a pretty GRAY chilly day out. FABULOUS. Ok not to beat a dead cupcake so to speak but today I am going to talk about Cupcake Wars on the Food Network. I have only watched one episode but after that one I can only assume that …
My dad has been talking for years about the cake doughnuts that his mother would make for him growing up and how much he LOVES them. Sometimes, when he’s lucky, he’ll find a local bakery that sells them and they’re “almost as good as Daisy’s” he’ll tell me.
Food Network’s Cupcake Wars started this week with two episodes. Sunday’s was the George Lopez celebrity golf tournament episode and Tuesday was the SeaWorld episode. I wasn’t able to catch Sunday’s episode, but I did see the SeaWorld episode… and let me tell you right off the bat, I was NOT impressed.

The first stop on our Portland Cupcake Crawl was Bliss Bake Shop located at 4708 Northwest Bethany Boulevard, Portland, OR. What a treat this was too… it couldn’t have been a better place to begin our crawl!
