I was in the mood for a simple cupcake since the last few I've made have been pretty elaborate. What's more simple than a white cupcake with chocolate chips? YUM!

My husband recently graduated from the NCO Academy here in Germany. For us, that's a big deal. It was his first big school since Basic Training that included a formal graduation ceremony. So... this totally meant I had to throw a party to celebrate! I decided to host a big BBQ and provide a hot...

I follow a lot of baking blogs, websites, Facebook pages of bakers and food related companies. But one of my favorites is C&H Sugar on Facebook. Yah, it's a sugar company... but did you know they also post recipes? This weekend C&H posted a recipe for peach coffee Bella cake and I was inspired!
These rich chocolate cookies baked with mini Reese's peanut butter cups are the perfect treat with a big glass of milk! Food has never tasted so good. These Mini Reese's Chocolate Cookies aren't the most glamorous or beautiful cookies I've ever made. But, what they lack in appearance they make up for in flavor! Sooooo...
These look yummy! Love the flags - I always printed the boys pictures, names, etc with PSE for cupcake toppers on toothpicks. Very creative!
Hi Betsy! I just saw your blogs and tons of cupcake recipes and already fell in love with them 🙂 I have a question, how do you make moist cupcakes? what is the secret ingredient? I once tried baking moist chocolate cake and ended up with a dry one. Help!
I really think it's the combination of ingredients that make it moist. This was the first chocolate cake recipe that I made when I started blogging. Since then, I've perfected it even more. I use a combination of sour cream and coffee (you can't taste the coffee - but it brings out the flavor and adds moisture) for moisture! Also - making sure not to over bake the cake really helps. If you find that your cake is still drying out, try brushing a simple syrup over the top of it. (Just a combo of boiled water and sugar).
