While making cupcakes tonight, I decided to try out my new iPod Nano video and make a buttercream tutorial. It’s my very first video tutorial! The video is “How to make Mint Buttercream”! Enjoy š
Mint Buttercream
- 2 sticks of butter (1 cup)
- 2lb or 8 cups sifted/whisked powdered sugar
- 1/2 heavy cream or milk
- 1/8-1/4 tsp peppermint extract
- Cream butter.
- Slowly add sugar, 1 cup or so at a time.
- Scrape sides.
- When mixture becomes too hard on the mixer, slowly add milk.
- Continue adding sugar and milk until completely creamy and combined.
- Scrape sides.
- Add peppermint.
- Mix on high 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
