Decorate Based on Color
Choosing the right color theme for your football party decor can make planning much more fun and so much easier. And since I’m a proud Seattleite, I decided to draw inspiration from our team colors and incorporate them into my party theme.
Of course, you can also consider using the colors of your favorite team or even the classic football color palette of green and brown. This adds a playful touch to the decor and helps narrow down your choices for table settings, balloons, and other party essentials.
Trust me, choosing a color theme early on can help bring your vision to life and make your party a touchdown!
Here’s what I did:
The dessert table was transformed into a celebration of my football team’s colors. I used two chargers in the team’s colors to serve as the base for the desserts and scattered candies beneath the cookies for added vibrancy.
To make the table even more striking, I filled a ceramic berry box with candies in the team’s colors and tied a ribbon around it for a touch of elegance.

- Treat Bags:
Fill small, clear treat bags with a mix of football-themed candies and tie the bags closed with ribbon in your team colors. These can serve as party favors or be used as decorations scattered throughout the party space. - Candy Buffet:

Football Food
Football season calls for not just exciting games, but also delicious and fun food to enjoy with friends and family. Let’s look at some creative football-themed food ideas to add excitement to your next party.
Here’s what I did:
I made the dessert table uniquely festive for my football party decor by baking sugar cookies shaped like footballs and topping them with chocolate buttercream.
The process was quite simple, yet added a fun touch to the party.
- I started by making my classic sugar cookie dough, rolled it out to a ¼ inch thickness, and used a football-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the cookies.
- Next, I placed them on a lined baking sheet and popped them in the oven.
- Once they were golden brown and fully cooled, I added a chocolate buttercream frosting to finish them. The result was a delicious and visually appealing dessert that was a hit with all my guests.

- Football-Shaped Sandwiches:
Cut your favorite sandwiches into the shape of a football and serve them with a side of chips. You can also use a football cookie cutter to make mini football sandwiches for guests. - Football-Themed Snack Platter:

Serve a variety of tacos with football-themed toppings, such as green salsa for grass and browned meat for the football. You can also use different color tortillas to create a fun and interactive touchdown taco bar.
Get Creative with Presentation
When it comes to a football themed party, the presentation of the food can be just as important as the taste. Try incorporating some of these unique ideas to add excitement and creativity to your dessert or food table.
Here’s what I did:
I utilized mason jars and ceramic berry boxes to add a fun and festive touch to the dessert table.
Jars and berry bowls are a versatile and stylish way to serve snacks and treats at your football party decor. They can be easily decorated to match your party theme and add a touch of creativity to your table setting.
Then, I used ribbon to tie in the color scheme and bring consistency to the table.
